I’m Tim Dowling — the founder of Resolvium Mediation Group — and I built this company with one clear goal in mind: to change the way families experience divorce. After 25 years navigating complex contracts, litigation, and high-stakes negotiations, I saw just how broken, adversarial, and financially devastating the traditional divorce process can be. I knew there had to be a better way — and I created one.

My career spans corporate finance, banking, mortgage, and legal operations — including hands-on litigation work and legal team strategy consulting. This experience has given me an insider’s view of how the legal system functions and how traditional models often fail families in crisis. It further fueled my desire to build something better: a streamlined, client-first approach to divorce that delivers clarity, structure, and peace of mind.

I’ve trained extensively in law and dispute resolution, including formal education at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, one of the nation’s leading programs for mediation and conflict management. I also studied in Professional Studies at Northwestern University, where I deepened my skills in negotiation, client communication, and structured settlement design. I bring that legal foundation together with practical experience to lead a model that prioritizes resolution over conflict — and results over chaos.
